New Year's Resolutions & 2015

Woo hoo! It's New Year's Eve!!

I'm here with a bit of a personal post again - I told you not to hold me to my normal schedule over the holidays. ;) So in true cliché form, I'm going to share with you a list of resolutions I hope to work on this coming year.

1. Stop making decisions hastily.
I tend to make very rash decisions, especially when it comes to relationships with other people. I like to think that I know what everyone else around me is feeling or thinking and so I tend to make split-second decisions based on my assumptions. This is something that isn't healthy and I have been trying to work on, baby steps!

2. Stop holding people (and myself) to impossible expectations.
I hold myself up to perfection practically (I may or may not have OCD...), so I tend to expect a lot out of people simply because I expect a lot out of myself. But, we are all humans and as such are a flawed species. This is something I really need to learn to live with. No one can control someone else; you just have to do what's right for you and the pieces will fall as they may.

3. Start having a more open-mind.
I'm not even going to lie - I can be a very judgmental person. It's more of a defense mechanism, if I can get the upper hand, then all the better. But I'm approaching age 25 this year, I need to learn to grow up, stop judging people and realize that everyone is different and that's what makes the world such an interesting and wonderful place.

4. Be more health-conscious.
For me this goes quite a bit beyond dieting (which I actually don't believe in - it's all about portion control.) As I said before I'll be turning 25 in 2015 and while I realize I'm still young I need to take the initiative now in taking care of myself. I've had several minor health issues this year (never stress yourself out to the point of giving yourself gastritis - trust me on this one.) This includes eating properly, regularly exercising, staying calm and de-stressing, and taking care of my mental health and keeping my brain stimulated.

5. Learn more.
As I mentioned before I'd really like to keep my brain stimulated. My full time job can become a little mundane at times, so I need to make a sincere effort to continue to learn new things every day. I'm hoping to make the time to read some more novels this year, my goal is to read many of the classic novels I was required to read in school that I never bothered with. (Haha!) As well as read about topics that interest me. (Such as fashion and music)

Byeee Felicia! (Ahem, I mean 2014!!)
As fas as years go, 2014 was actually a really great one for me. I've learned a lot of things, some painful, some beautiful, some eye-opening. I started off ringing in the New Year with some close friends and nachos - what can really be better than that?! I gained a promotion at my job and really tested my professional merit. I traveled for the first time to Europe and made some amazing memories with some amazing friends.

I learned to let go of things that weren't meant for me, that my perception of people isn't always correct, that there are people out there who can hurt you without care and you have to be okay with that, that you get what you give to this world, that you need to talk about how you feel sometimes, no matter how embarrassed you are, that my mother is my best friend, that you have to appreciate every minute that you have, that social media is mostly poison, and the most important lesson I learned this year was that you can not drop your iPhone 5s on a hardwood floor multiple times without expecting the screen to break at some point.
...Just kidding about that last one, but everything else is valid!

Here's hoping everyone has a great time ringing in the new year! As for me I'll be at home with some close friends watching movies and binge eating carbs. :) If you're going out please stay safe and never, ever, ever drink and drive. Use Uber, call a cab, call your desperate ex, literally call anyone to drive you if you have been drinking and can not drive. Have a healthy, prosperous, and most of all FUN 2015!

Sunday Funday - Christmas Presents & Target

Hello dolls, somehow it has already become Sunday! I hope everyone had a great Christmas (or whatever it is you celebrate) and spent time with family and friends. I had a really wonderful Christmas and Santa brought me quite a few goodies!

Below are some of the gifts Santa aka my mother brought for me. (Also note my Christmas PJS with heel-wearing Reindeer) I got Hunter boot socks, the travel Smashbox Full Exposure pallete, and a Moon and Lola monogram necklace are just a few. I was particularly excited about the monogram necklace as I've been wanting one for so long, this one is actually acrylic plastic that's like a tan and brown marble, almost making it look like tortoise shell, it's gorgeous! These pictures don't really do it justice.

In my stocking was just my regular gifts of marshmallow Santa Clauses (my biggest Christmas guilty pleasure) and of course SOCKS. I love socks actually, I've been completely obsessed with wearing thigh high socks with over-the-knee boots. So cute! PS - that is the same stocking I've had since I was born pretty much - isn't it the cutest?

I don't have too much of a weekend recap for you as I spent most of my time at home, I've been trying to battle off some sort of cold I think. I really just wanted to rest-up while I was off of work. I actually had planned to get a bunch of cleaning done so I could start the new year off nice and fresh but I was quite sick last night so I spent much of today bing-watching Scandal. Which I CAN NOT believe I have never watched before. I seriously can't get enough, I had to force myself to turn it off and get some laundry done!

However I would like to share with you the new bedding that I got from Target. Is Target not the best store on the face of this planet?! Because I really, truly love it. As I think I've mentioned before. I got this great duvet cover set that I've been eyeing for quite some time. I've recently been really into the color gray so this was perfect. It almost looked as though they didn't have a full size available and I was really sad (haha) but thankfully I found one that had the packaging ripped off (with everything still intact) so I was good to go! I love it because it looks like some nice expensive thing but it was really inexpensive! I also really needed another set of flannel sheets as I only had one and I found this beautiful white and tan houndstooth print set and I was in love! Not to mention they're incredibly soft, I predict I'll be getting a good night's sleep tonight!

That's about all I have for you folks tonight! Sorry if I've been a bore but I actually really wanted to show off my new bedding so I knew I had to make a post. Ha, I don't know what that says about me, but at least I'm being truthful!

Also an update on the social media cleanse, I'm still going strong! I read this article on Buzzfeed and it made me even more curious about my technology habits! I actually got two of the apps they mention to record how many times I check my phone/how much time I've spent. I definitely think they'e a great idea; they're called "Checky" and "Moment." So far today I've checked my phone 30 times, and spent 22 minutes on it. However, I did wake up at 11 today and spent most of my day engrossed in Scandal so I think those numbers are quite a bit lower than my normal technological intake. But I'm intrigued to monitor my habits and see just how obsessed I am with my iPhone.

Hope everyone has a great Monday! If you're heading back to work, I feel the struggle! And if you're lucky enough to still have time off then rock on! Have a wonderful start of the week. :)

On Wednesday's We Wear... - Christmas Sweaters & Hunters

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! Writing up a quick post after my half work-day nap, since I skipped out on yesterday's post. I'll probably be posting pretty sporadically throughout Christmas/New Year's so don't hold me too close to my schedule! I'm going to be trying to make the most of my days off from work and time with family/friends.

So let's get into the fashion situation shall we? I figured since today is Christmas Eve I'd post a nice festive outfit for you all...and no, I still didn't learn to use my camera properly so we're rolling with mirror selfies. (Sorry!)

Sweater - Garage
I LOVE this store and was so thrilled when I discovered we got one in the mall by my house. I've always wanted to do the whole "ugly Christmas sweater" thing (without it actually being ugly of course) so when I saw this sweater in there I knew I had to grab it up! There were other color combos but I gravitated towards this one because I'm just really loving gray these days. The light blue and pink accents are really cute too.

Leggings - Victoria's Secret Pink
Just plain every day black leggings. In my previous posts I've always been wearing my black leggings from Forever 21 but I actually have quite a few from Victoria's Secret Pink that are super comfortable - they're like t-shirt material. I highly recommend!

Boots - Hunter
I was a little late to the Hunter train when I bought my pair last year, but I wanted to wait for a sale as these can be a bit pricey, but they're definitely worth it. These are great because they're stylish rainboots, you can actually pair them with your outfit like I did or just wear them when you'll be out in the rain/snow and then change into another pair when you get to your destination.

Legwarmers - DSW
I paired my Hunters with a pair of legwarmers I already owned, but they do actually have specific fleece sock inserts that look really nice as well. (Hopefully Santa is bringing me a pair of my very own!) But if you don't want to spend the $40 on fleece socks (because let's be real, that's a little insane) any type of legwarmer/high socks work with these boots as well, even really thick ones, I find I have a lot of wiggle room in my boots.

Watch - Marc by Marc Jacobs, Necklace - Juicy Couture, Earrings - Aldo

Second thing I'd like to discuss if the fact that I'm going to be taking a social media cleanse until I return to work for the New Year. (Aside from posting my blog entries of course!) Lately I've just been feeling like social media has taken more of a priority in my life than it should. I found it really disappointing that one of the first things I wanted to do when I woke up in the morning was check my Instagram - I'm 24 years old, I should be wanting to actually DO things, not watching people do things through the screen of my phone. I was also using Twitter almost only to complain about people/things that I was unhappy with, which isn't a good thing to do and makes me feel extremely negative. Social Media just perpetuates constant comparison to our peers and that's not the way I'm interested in living my life...especially for the new year. I know it's super cliche but I'm really hoping to start this New Year off on a good foot and really set goals and projects for myself to adhere to. (One of the reasons I started this blog!) I'm also going to try to focus on being a more positive person in general.

I'd love to discuss this topic with you if any of you have opinions on it! I'm not trying to completely condemn social media - it definitely does have it's great points and is especially great if you have a lot of family or friends that don't live close by - and of course I LOVE posting selfies, but I'm just feeling far too narcissistic and obsessed with it for it to be normal anymore...

I hope everyone who sees this has a great holiday (no matter what you might be celebrating) and remember to enjoy and cherish the time you have with your family and loved ones. Take lots of pictures, eat lots of food, and of course, open lots of presents. Happy Holidays! xoxoxo

Music Monday - NSYNC Christmas and Chris Jamison

And so another Monday has come and gone - I can't believe how quickly December has been passing! Before you know it I'll be blogging about how it's 2015!

This will be my last music Monday featuring a Christmas song - so I tried to make this one the most festive yet...

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays - NSYNC
I mean...this is just a classic. You literally cannot help but bop around when this song comes on. I remember being so completely thrilled when I got NSYNC's Christmas album the year it came out. I pretty much felt like the coolest kid on the block... Not to mention the music video for this song is just to die for.
Favorite Lyric; "It's a wonderful feeling. Feel the love in the room from the floor to the ceiling."

Wait On Me - Rixton
Really loving this song as of late. Just a super catchy pop song. It actually kind of reminds me of reggae a little bit too. Bu you know, the kind of song that I'm always obsessed with. Haha. I've loved Rixton since they appeared on the scene with Me and My Broken Heart. And of course they're British and you know anything that's British is cool.
Favorite Lyric; "A little trouble never hurt nobody."

Bad Intentions - Niykee Heaton
Like I discover most of my music - I discovered Niykee through a Spotify playlist of top pop songs. (cause pop music is my guilty pleasure OBVI) Then I found out she came from YouTube and has done a bunch of awesome hip-hop inspired covers. I definitely recommend you look them up, they're pretty amazing. I love her voice, I think it's really chill and unique. I also reallyyy love the lyrics to this song, they're just personally really relatable for me.
Favorite Lyric; "But after everything I still believe in true love. Not being able to find it, damn it tears me up, and I know it's my fault."

Velvet - Chris Jamison
If it's not apparent by me writing about him almost every music Monday, I love Chris Jamison. I'm reallyyy hoping he gets a career that takes off from this show - because he has the potential to be really great. He has a great voice, a good look, and a cool young fan base. He's like another Justin Timberlake but not as pompous. This song is just so damn good, I practically memorized all the lyrics within hours. I dare you to not get addicted to it!
Favorite Lyric; "Your body should be mine to touch. I fit the rhythm your body's givin' and once I get there..."

That concludes this edition of music Monday. I'll be back tomorrow to discuss some beauty products with you beautiful people. Hope everyone has a great Tuesday out there in the world!

Sunday Funday - Baking, Christmas Decorating, & Appetizers

Hellooo fabulous people! We have unfortunately reached the end of the weekend...however it's a short week due to Christmas so let's all rejoice for that!

I finally figured out how to get my Macbook to stop autocorrecting all my words like my iPhone and I'm really thrilled about it. Just had to let ya'll know. Also I've decided to change up the titles of my posts to reflect what I'm actually mentioning; just the date was a little redundant! Moving on...

Let's recap my mildly entertaining weekend! Ha.

Friday night I decided to just stay in and blog for you folks and bake some more with my mom. Believe it or not - we still have more to do! We might have to get cracking on that tonight after I'm done with this post actually.

I love baking with my mom; it's one of my most favorite Christmas traditions and I always looks forward to it. That night we did crunch drops and and roll out sugar cookies. Those have always been my favorite since I was a child, I used to love when my mom would let me use the rolling pin to roll out the cookies. :)

Unfortunately I had to work Saturday morning so I was up early and out the door. But once I got home I got to squeeze in some time watching Home Alone before I decided to do up our little Christmas village. (Although I like the second Home Alone the best...anyone else?!) I went pretty simple with the Christmas village this year, I got a little discouraged because my miniature street lamps crapped out on me. #sadface Looks like I'll have to be getting new supplies for next year!

Forgot to turn the Christmas tree light on for the pic - darn it!

Saturday night I just hit up Stagehouse as per usual with a few of my friends for some drinks and appetizers. If you haven't yet realized I would actually die if I went like, two weeks without going there. Also the calamari is to dieee. Like...look at all the food we got. #fat

PS here's a random selfie of what I wore. #allblacktomatchmysoul

And that's about all I have for you tonight! Hope everyone has a very relaxing Sunday night and easy Monday. I'll be back tomorrow with some music favorites...even though I haven't even thought about them yet. Hopefully they'll come to me soon! Ha.

Fashion Friday - December 19th

Sooo time escaped me yet again this week so we're going with a Fashion Friday post today!

I actually have two looks for you this evening, so that's pretty fun!

Please forgive me as I'm a moron and I still don't know how to work my camera properly and just love taking selfies on my iPhone... I swear I'm going to set aside a day to actually learn how to take good pictures on my camera. I'd like to actually be proud of the pictures I put up on here! But, hopefully these pictures will suffice for the time being.

Really excited about this first look guys! It's my office holiday party look!

Top - Forever 21
Beaded V-Cut Blouse
Simple cream colored chiffon blouse with embellishments on the wrists of the sleeves. Wanted a simple top to go with the patterned circle skirt.

Skirt - Forever 21
Baroque Pattern Skater Skirt
Unfortunately you can't really see the baroque pattern in the photos (damn it, really need to learn how to work the camera) but it was really pretty. I've been obsessed with burgundy the entire fall/winter season so I was instantly in love when I saw this skirt. Loved the combo of cream top + burgundy bottom.

Tights - Forever 21
Can you tell I ordered this entire outfit from Forever 21 last minute? Haha. Forever 21 is always my go-to for an outfit that I'll probably only wear once. (Like if I'm going to AC and I probably won't ever be caught dead anywhere else in a skirt that short.) These tights came in a two pack with a black and charcoal colored pair. I have no complaints! The good thing about these are that they're pretty opaque so you have a lot of security whilst wearing short skirts/dresses.

Shoes - Jessica Simpson
I bought these simple black patent pumps to wear with my dress when I graduated from college in early 2013. I always endorse Jessica Simpson heels though, I've had many pairs and I think they're true to size, comfortable, and super cute! No complaints here!

Necklace - J. Crew, Watch - Kate Spade

Also wanted to share my makeup look as well! I loved the way my eyes turned out! And I got a lot of compliments on them. I used Urban Decay Heavy Metal glitter eyeliner in Midnight Cowboy just above my usual black winged out eyeliner. I love this glitter liner, always amps up a look just a little bit. On my lids I used some shades from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Tamanna pallete. (Haven't used anything else since I bought that in October!) And on my lips is one of the LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints,  in color Bombshell.

Second Look:

Comfy Casual for the office (again I apologize for the image quality - I tried to make it up with some good filters!)

Blazer - Charlotte Russe
Pretty plain cream colored blazer with ruched shoulders and gold accents. It also has a little low-hi thing going on where it's a bit shorter in the back and the front parts are angled a little bit longer. When I first got my job a couple years ago I went out and bought a bunch of blazers at Charlotte Russe, since they're so cheap. This is the only one I have left - but I love it and wear it all the time!

Tank - Express
Just a plain black tank top - figured I'd tone everything down with such loud pants. Ha.

Pants - Target
SERIOUSLY - I love these pants. I actually bought these during the summer but they were so long they needed to be hemmed and my mom couldn't get them to work in the sewing machine until a couple of days ago - so this was the first time I got to wear them! They're made out of a super thin, stretchy fabric that is beyond comfortable. Had I known they were gonna be so great I might have bought every pattern/color they had...

Shoes (that you can't see) - Fergalicious  "Dreamer" wedges in black

Watch - Kate Spade, Necklace - Dogeared

Hope my two looks made up for the fact that this was post was long overdue. Hope everyone has a great weekend gearing up for Christmas NEXT WEEK. As for me I'll be working Saturday morning some extra over time hours and then who knows. I know some more baking is in order...

I'll be back Sunday loves. xoxo

Beauty Tuesday - December 16th

Happy Tuesday everyone! And we're another day closer to Christmas. Hopefully everyone has been listening to the Biebs serenading them under the mistletoe...hahaha.

It's beauty Tuesday so I'm here to chat about some current makeup/skin care products I'm obsessing over. So, let's jump right into it!

NYX Chunky Dunk Hyrdrating Lippie ($6)
In color Watermelon Cooler CDHL01
I had always wanted to try one of these so I decided to snag one when I made my Cyber Monday purchase from NYX. And obviously since I'm writing about it now, I was not disappointed! These Chunky Dunk lippies are the best of both worlds; you get a super smooth lip balm with the color of a lipstick. For my first one I decided to get a color that was very close to the color my lips already are, just for a little bit of enhancement. But now that I know how great they are I'll definitely be purchasing different types of colors.

My second beauty favorite this week is actually a skin care product again.

Lush Eau Roma Water Toner ($21.95)
I had always seen Lush products on Meg (Ciaoobelllaxo) YouTube channel, but up until recently the closest Lush store around me was down in South Jersey, BUT, now I have one in the mall 10 minutes down the street from me, so naturally I've become obsessed with all things Lush. (As overpriced as they may be...) I am now on my second bottle of this stuff, so that pretty much speaks for itself. I had never used a toner before but I tested this the first time I went to the store and was instantly hooked. I wanted to get other products while I was there and didn't want to spend the money on this, but once I tried it I had to have it. It's especially refreshing in the summer and it smells great! I'm planning on trying the Tea Tree Water next, as I've recently discovered how great Tea Tree Oil is.

That's all for now folks! Hope you enjoyed this week's beauty favorites and maybe try one of these products out, I promise they're worth it!

It's nearly time for The Voice finale and I can't wait to see who takes it home! Anybody else love that show this season? I think this has been the best season yet!

Have a great hump day tomorrow friends!

Music Monday - December 15th

Hellooo good people of the internet.

We have managed to get through yet another Monday. Almost didn't think I'd make it for awhile there but I came out pretty unscathed. And I am ready to throw some tunes at you.

As per usual we're gonna go with a Christmas-y song first. And trust me...you guys are gonna love this one. It's the one and only, the Biebs.

Mistletoe - Justin Bieber
Let's all just try to remember the time when Justin was still an innocent pre-pubescent boy and not getting arrested for drinking sizzurp. Ahhh, that's better. Now we can just sit back and enjoy this acoustic, festive little song. Always gets me in the Christmas spirit. (I'm also a big fan of his version of All I Want for Christmas is You with Mariah Carey...wait did I just admit that publicly?)
Favorite Lyric; "Cause I am feeling one thing; your lips on my lips, that's a merry, merry Christmas."
(Feels kinda funny picking a favorite lyric from such ridiculously silly ones lol)

Sugar - Chris Jamison (The Voice)
This is one of those songs that I got really obsessed with really quick. And I also have to listen to it ten times in a row every single time I listen to it. This is actually a Maroon 5 song, but I truly love Chris' version a lot more than the original. It could just be that I love Chris a lot though, whenever he performs I end up LOVING the crap out of the song he sings. It's such a feel good, get up and dance kind of song. JUST SO GOOD.
Favorite Lyric; "I want that sugar sweet. Don't let nobody touch it, unless that somebody's me."

Wild Heart - Bleachers
If you're a fan of the band fun. then you're going to love Bleachers. (If you aren't yet already familiar with his song "I Wanna Get Better") Bleachers is the stage name of Jack Antonoff - from the band fun. (obviously) and his album Strange Desire is pure magic to the ears. I cannot get enough of it. I listen to it almost as much as I listen to Sugar by Chris Jamison... Definitely give Bleachers a try, it's a different kind of pop, with sort of electronic mixed in as well. It's hard to describe, but I do know it's great.
Favorite lyric; "And as I sat with the echoes of the lies that I told, I felt young, never changed by crooked hearts."

Make It Rain - Ed Sheeran
Naturally if you live on planet Earth you've probably heard this song. I actually don't watch Sons of Anarchy but I know this song was on it and it shot up the iTunes charts. Of course I'm a little biased and think that everything Ed puts out is a stroke of genius...but this song is undeniably pretty epic. It's just so powerful and makes me feel like I can approach life head on. And who doesn't love songs like that?
Favorite Lyric; "Even though I know this fire brings me pain, even so, and just the same, make it rain."

Hope everyone enjoyed today's selections! I'll be back tomorrow with some beauty products I'm currently loving. Have a fabulous Tuesday guys!

Sunday Funday - December 14th

Happy Sunday everyone!
Hope everyone had a great weekend and you are all ready to take on another week! Only one and a half left until Christmas - can't believe it! Since we're so close I've really tried getting into the Christmas spirit this weekend. (Listening to Mistletoe by Justin Bieber and all...)
Saturday morning I did some annual Christmas cookie baking with my mom and aunt. As per usual, it was a really great time. It's always hilarious when the three of us get together, we're all a bunch of crazies.
First, we made my favorite cookies, Spritz! If you don't know what they are I highly suggest you google them and get a cookie press ASAP - they are the funnest thing! My usual job in the baking extravaganza is decorating - I get pretty possessive over the decorating of the cookies, I just want them to be perfect!

I'm obsessed. Of course, this isn't all the baking that needs to be done. I'm sure we'll be doing a tons more this week and next weekend. Always my favorite Christmastime tradition to share with my mom.

Thennn, Saturday afternoon I finally went to the mall/Apple store to get my beloved little iPhone fixed. Of course it wasn't easy and I went through a lot of heartache in the morning about it. When I went to make an appointment with the Genius Bar at 10:30AM ALL of the appointments were booked for the entire weekend. I was in disbelief! There was no way I was waiting another week to fix the phone so thankfully I was able to call my local store and they told me to walk in any time and they'll fix the screen as quick as possible. So once I got to the mall  I dropped my baby off and he was done in an hour and good as new!

PS check out my festive gold and red Christmas season manicure.
Also whilst at the mall I had to return the one boot from the Aldo situation as well as some ill fitting stuff I ordered from Forever 21. I got a long, big cardigan to exchange, since Forever 21 only gives store credit. Then I got an adorable grey and pink Christmas sweater from Garage (is anyone else obsessed with that store?! I think it's the cutest) - maybe I'll show that baby off in my post on Wednesday.

Saturday night I hit Stagehouse for dinner (because what would a weekend be without me being there?) and saw Horrible Bosses 2 with a friend. The best part about Horrible Bosses 2 was the bloopers at the end! The rest of the movie was funny, but I feel like maybe I was expecting a little more out of it. Jennifer Aniston's character kills me though...she's just too much. I mean, the cast was great Charlie Day, Jason Bateman, and Jason Sudeikis are all favorites of mine - but some of the storyline gets a little boring. Overall I'd say it was just good.

Today, Sunday, I went to lunch for my friend's birthday (woo!) and then a little shopping at Target to get some wrapping supplies for my Christmas gifts. Target seriously has the cutest stuff ever. While there I decided that whenever I move out I'm probably going to buy all of the things there. Anyway, I was so stoked about the wrapping supplies that I wrapped my gifts earlier this evening and put them under the tree. It looks so festive in here now!

Sadly tomorrow is Monday. So, good luck to all! Hope everyone starts the week off on a good foot. I'm certainly going to try my best to!

I will leave you off with this photo of my vintage Elf on the Shelf. He's not a real Elf on the Shelf, he's actually a SUPER old Christmas ornament my mom has had forever, but he looks exactly like the Elf on the Shelf so we treat him as such.

Sprinkles, you're so mischievous.

Fashion Friday - December 12th

Ahhh I've missed my little blog!

I was unexpectedly busy the past two nights and I went through a tragedy...breaking my iPhone 5s, but he'll be back up and running soon, the Apple people told me I should just be able to have the screen replaced and all should be back to normal! Operating on an iPhone 4 after a year is terribly difficult. #firstworldproblems

It's been a long busy week and I'm happier than ever to just be at home doing nothing. Well, besides blogging I guess. :)

So I've decided we're calling today "Fashion Friday" since we missed the fashion post on Wednesday.

It's my first casual outfit post! Woo hoo yeaaah.

Sweater - Francesca's Collection
This is maybe my favorite sweater ever, I bought it last year when I was obsessed with funky tribal print pieces. Every time I wear this to work I get so many compliments. It's also very warm! Once it's really cold I also like to pair it with a pale orange scarf to go with the orange accents on it.

Cami - Aeropostale
I generally dislike this store, not for any particular reason, just because I'm not 12 years old anymore. But they have cheap camis, which are a must in my wardrobe.

Jeans - Express
I love jeans from Express mostly because they were the first store I discovered to have "short" jeans, other than Abercombie/Hollister (which I have long outgrown...) So, I love these! These are the "legging" style dark wash jeans. Unfortunately they tend to be on the expensive side, so I try to look for sales when I can.

Boots - Ugg (Bailey Button Short - Chestnut)
Gotta love Uggs in the winter time. I love the ones with the buttons because it makes them just a tad more classy than the regular ones.

Watch - Kate Spade & Necklace - Hautelook

There would be more photos (with better quality) if I knew how to properly operate my camera...gonna read up on that now! I literally moved my lamp across my room just so I could take a few mirror pictures with light and they still turned out pretty horrific. But I really wanted to post this outfit featuring my favorite sweater! I bought a tripod and everything and I can't figure out how to focus on myself once I self-timer... I feel quite moronic but I guess I'll figure it out eventually. If anyone reads this and has any tips, feel free to let a girl know! :)

Hope everyone has a great weekend! As for me I'm planning on baking, shopping, reading, and relaxing. I'll be back Sunday with a funday post!

Beauty Tuesday - December 9th

We've made it through Tuesday! Three more days to go! I think we can do it!

Without further adieu, onto this week's beauty post...

Bite Beauty VIB Rouge Créme Lipstick - (Sample Size, free)
I became a VIB Rouge member a few weeks ago, to my surprise. It concerns me greatly that I've spent over $1,000 at Sephora this year but at least I got some free stuff out of it! One of which, was a tiny tube of Bite Beauty's exclusive VIB Rouge color. It's a deep red that's absolutely stunning. Paired with a plum lipliner it's a killer combo. I think it works exceptionally well on fair complexions, like mine. I got so many compliments when I wore it to work the other day. Bite Beauty is quickly becoming one of my go-to brands.

So I pretty much swear by this stuff. I put my makeup on every morning around 7AM and Fix+ manages to keep my bronzer/blush on my face for the remainder of the day until I take it of around 6PM. What is there not to love? I'm already on my second bottle. I've used Urban Decay and Skindinavia makeup setting sprays, but this one definitely takes the cake. And a bonus is it doesn't smell like anything at all, it feels like spraying your face with some water!

Since I got my Cyber Monday NYX purchases in the mail today, I figured I'd share that as well. Told you I'm a little obsessed with NYX.

I got the Pore Filler primer (I really wanted the Angel Veil primer but it was sold out, the Pore Filler had a lot of great reviews so it made a good second choice) the Wonder Pencil in light, 2 Slim Lip Pencils in Fuchsia and Nude Pink, (pretty sure they gave me a third one though, might have to figure out what happened there haha) 2 Baked Blushes in Full-On Femme and Journey, and a Chunky Dunk Hydrating Lippie in Watermelon Cooler. Maybe I'll include some of these in my beauty favorites next week.

I'll be back tomorrow with my favorite outfit of the week for you. :)
