Beauty Tuesday (On a Wednesday) - Coconut Oil & Drybar

Hello loves, as I said in my previous post, we're a day behind schedule this week. Sorry about that again! But I'm here to bring you two favorite beauty products. This week's theme is hair!

Here we go;

Fekkai PRX Reparatives Intensive Fortifying Masque & Coconut Oil
I mentioned this hair mask when I made my Birchbox post last month. I finally got around to trying it this past weekend and I think it's WONDERFUL. I put it all over damp hair and added in about a tablespoon of coconut oil as well. I just recently discovered the pure magic that is coconut oil and I couldn't be more obsessed with it. The two of these together left my SUPER damaged hair feeling brand new. Seriously, you can't tell I have awful, disgusting split ends and it's super shiny. If you're looking for a hair mask that truly delivers please try Fekkai out. I loved this mask so much. And of course you must get coconut oil, but please be aware a little bit goes a long way. If you slather it on your hair you'll be in the shower for hours trying to wash it out...not speaking from experience or anything. (Yes, I looked like a greaseball for a day. Oops.)

100 Proof Treatment Oil - Drybar
I actually got a sample of this from Sephora maybe a year ago, but I was trying to finish a serum/oil I already had. I loved this product so much that I remembered it a year later and got it. And I have no complaints! It smells like the beach which is lovely. And it smooths out all the stray frizzy hairs and makes your hair super shiny. I have very thick, sometimes stubborn hair and this always manages to make my hair look at least halfway decent. Sometimes when I'm in a bind and don't have time to straighten my hair I can just blow dry it and throw some of this on it and I'm relatively good to go! If you have frizzy hair or trouble with flyaways, this is the product for you.

That's my beauty Tuesday, or Wednesday post really for you. I hope you enjoy these kind of posts and that they help anyone out looking for promising products. Everything I post I 100% use on a regular basis and love. I wouldn't write about it if I didn't feel it was really great! Anyways, I'll be back at some point later this week with an #ootw. I didn't plan one yet...stress! Have a great rest of the week! Hope it flies by!

Music Monday (On a Tuesday) - Ed Sheeran Tickets & Dark Sky Paradise

So... we're just gonna to pretend it's Monday again since I missed posting yesterday. Sorry about that! I totally forgot and then by the time I remembered I was just far too lazy to pull out the ol Macbook.

Let me just start off by saying yesterday I scored some Ed Sheeran pre-sale tickets completely hassle-free and it pretty much made my life. I saw him at MSG in 2013 (bought my tickets on Stub hub since they completely sold out in like.5 seconds) and he's blow up even more since then so I was pretty certain I wasn't going to get tickets...and then it was the easiest thing that ever happened to me. It may seem loser-ish, but it pays to be in an artist's fan club! They hooked me up with the pre-sale and I was good to go in all of 5 minutes. :) Let the countdown to May 30th begin!

Anywayyy moving on to this week's playlist!

All Your Fault - Big Sean & Kanye
Big Sean's new album Dark Sky Paradise dropped today and it's pretty fantastic. If you're a fan of hip hop I definitely recommend you take a listen to the whole thing, there's tons of people featured on this album; Kanye, Drake, Chris Brown, Jhene Aiko, Ariana Grande etc. It was actually really hard to choose just one song to highlight on here! But this one definitely immediately caught my attention. You know how sometimes you hear a song for the first time and you know you're gonna love it? That was this one for me. The hook is just so catchy!
Favorite Lyric; "Lit for your love baby, lit for your love."

Raindrops - SNBRN & Kerli
Completely changing gears, we have this dance track. I was absentmindedly listening to the Today's Top Hits playlist on Spotify and I had to stop and check what this song was and who it was by because I love it so much. It's not some crazy EDM track with no lyrics that just sounds like some random noises put together. It actually has lyrics and a beat, which is why I like it so much. It's not super dancey, but it has a cool beat to it. It has great potential to be on pre-gaming playlists all over the world. If you like dance music - this one's for you.
Favorite Lyric; "Like raindrops from the desert sky, for you I've been waiting."

Somebody - Natalie La Rose & Jeremih
I wonder if a week will go by where I'm not obsessed with a song Jeremih's in... Anyway, this is just a cute pop song, it sounds as if they've sampled Whitney Houston's I Wanna Dance With Somebody. It's super catchy and cute - I find myself singing it all the time. And of course, anything with Jeremih in it is going to be a favorite of mine.
Favorite Lyric; "I wanna leave with somebody, and we ain't gotta tell nobody."

I Think I'm In Love - Kat Dahlia
This is another song from Spotify's lovely playlists...they really put me on some great music. This song is categorized as pop, although I think it has a bit of a singer/songwriter feel to it. Kat Dahlia has a really cool unique voice, it's kind of raspy and I really love it. The lyrics to this song are also pretty out there and honest, which is something else I can really respect. If you haven't heard of Kat and are a fan of female pop/singer/songwriter artists, you should definitely check her out.
Favorite Lyric; "I'm trying hard to trust you when you say "give me your hand," baby I'm fallin, I hope you catch me when I land."

So those are the music choices for ya'll this week. Hope you enjoyed! Tried to make it a little more diverse this week. :) I'll be doing my beauty Tuesday post tomorrow....we're just gonna be a day behind schedule this week, sorry bout it! I don't even have a #ootw planned yet! AH. Gonna go listen to Dark Sky Paradise for the remainder of the night... Everyone have a great hump day tomorrow!

Sunday Funday - Snow & Interior Decorating

Hello my internet friends! I hope everyone had a lovely weekend! I'm going to keep this post short and sweet as I don't really have too much to update ya'll on. I haven't been feeling that well lately and the weather isn't much agreeing on being cooperative either, so a weekend in was necessary.

Friday night I was literally asleep half the night. I'm not joking. I can't even detail remotely anything I did except lay on my couch half asleep, and then move to my bed to actually sleep. It was so bitterly cold that I couldn't think of setting foot outside of my house once I was in after work. SO, that was Friday night.

Saturday was a little bit better temperature-wise so I ventured out to go get my nails done. Then, as I was there chatting with my lovely little nail kid, I notice it's practically blizzarding outside. Snow was all up and down, sideways, etc etc. So I quickly got home and enjoyed several Lifetime movies with my mom, because really what else do you do when you're stuck inside because of the snow. They premiered a new one called Babysitter's Blackbook that was about a bunch of teenagers running a babysitting business that essentially turns into a prostitution ring - and get this - it was based on TRUE EVENTS. Like, really doe? Anyway, I took and edited some of this sweet pictures of the snow for you so I'd have at least some sort of media component to this horribly boring weekend update. Haha

And then lastly I finally put up this cute little canvas I bought off of Hautelook a few weeks ago for above my bed. I love how my room is looking these days so I figured I'd show off my cute inspirational throw pillows and new canvas.

Anddd that is about all I have to tell you folks. Sorry I'm a boring person this weekend. I may or may not be back tomorrow with my Music Monday choices as I don't have too many new ones to share! Maybe Spotify will surprise me with some tomorrow so I have some options to share! Have a great rest of Sunday night (it's rather late) and a lovely Monday!

Surprise Saturday - #OOTW Day Off Joggers

Happy Saturday everyone! It's snowing like crazy up in New Jersey right's a travesty. Anyway - I'm here with my fav #ootw! I worse this on Monday when I had the day off from work, just to run some errands and go to lunch with my mom. :) I'm loving detailing my casual outfits these days.

Sweater - Zara
I actually got this sweater at a Zara in Florence Italy, so it holds a little bit of a special place in my heart. Haha. But it's just a plain black sweater with gold buttons at the end of the sleeves. It's a nice, simple piece.

Joggers - New York & Co
I've been obsessed with getting a pair of joggers for quite some time and I could never really find a pair that I thought would make sense for my wardrobe. Until these guys that is! I love the green/army pants look so these were perfect for me. I also love that their drawstring, makes them super casual.

Boots - Ugg
Same Uggs I usually feature in my #ootds. They're short Bailey buttons in the chestnut brown color.

Necklace - American Eagle, Watch - Kate Spade

So that's just a short #OOTW post for you today! I'll be back tomorrow with a Sunday Funday post (although I don't imagine I'll have anything too thrilling to talk about. Lol) Hope everyone has a great Saturday night and rest of the weekend! :)

Beauty Tuesday - Burberry Brit & It's A 10

Hello and happy Tuesday! First day back at work after a long weekend is always a little difficult, but I made it through pretty okay. And now I'm here to bring you some current beauty (and otherwise) favorites. So let's get into it, shall we?

Burberry Brit Perfume
I bought this on Rue La La not too long ago since I recently went through all of my perfumes and threw quite a few very old ones away. I actually originally wanted to get Marc Jacobs Honey perfume, but it wasn't on the sale and I really try to not pay full price for expensive things whenever possible. Haha. Anyway, I figured I'd never had a Burberry perfume before so I decided to try Burberry Brit after reading all the scents used in it online (fruits and vanilla.) And I really do love the scent! I've been wearing it just about every day since I got it. I recommend this to anyone that likes light scents.

It's a 10 Miracle Leave In Product
I feel like I haven't talked about many hair care products here, so I figured I'd share one of my holy grails. I swear by this leave-in conditioner. I absolutely destroy my hair between blowdrying and using curling rods/straighteners on it every single day. However, my hair still looks relatively good and I feel I owe it all to this product right here. I use this in my hair every time I wash it. I just spray it in my damp hair (concentrating mostly on the ends) and then comb through to make sure I disperse the product. Sometimes if I feel my hair needs a little bit more I'll spray it on the ends after it's dry as well. This product is definitely a little pricey, but I promise it's worth it if you're hard on your lips.

Wildflower Princess Gold iPhone 5/5s Case
Okay so this last thing isn't really a beauty product BUT it is a favorite of mine so I figured this would be a good place to share it! I've loved Wildflower cases for quite some time now. (And I have several...because I am an iPhone case addict.) When I saw they were launching their emoji line I knew I needed to have this case. It's so cute! And I love that they always come with stickers and leopard paper. Such a sucker for packaging...

And that's all I got for today! I hope you enjoyed my little pointless blurbs. I'll be back later in the week to detail my #ootw. I'm proud to say I've already planned it and photographed it so it's good to go! For once I'm prepared ahead of time! Enjoy the rest of your week lovelies! :)

Music Monday - From The Weeknd to Trey Songz

Happy Monday everyone! I was lucky enough to have the day off so that was wonderful. I was able to sleep in and go out to lunch with my mom, it's always nice to have a day off to do things like that. I was also able to get a little nap in, so that's also wonderful. <3 sleep. Anyway - onto the music! This will be a very R&B inspired week because that just seems to be what I'm loving these days!

Slow Motion - Trey Songz
So I was obsessed with Trey Songz back in the day when he came out with Invented Sex. (You can't lie, that was a jam and a half.) I hadn't really been listening to any R&B music until this song slapped me in the face via Spotify, in the best way ever. I LOVE this song. I was super bored with the past few singles Trey had put out but this one is BOMB. If you like R&B music then I can almost guarantee you'll love this little slow jam.
Favorite Lyric; "So tell me when you ready, I'ma speed it up for you just for a second. Then I'ma slow it back down and keep it steady. "

Where You Belong - The Weeknd
This song caught my attention when I went to go see Fifty Shades of Grey. I've been loving The Weeknd for quite some time now, so I knew his songs for the Fifty Shades soundtrack wouldn't disappoint. I like this song because it has an R&B feel to it, with a little bit of edge. That seems to be The Weeknd's style and I just really love that. This song is pretty intense - it goes perfect with the movie, that's for sure!
Favorite Lyric; "I'm always numb to the topic of loving. I fell in love with the subject of sin."

Planes - Jeremih & J Cole
I'm just really obsessed with rap/R&B these days. But I looove Jeremih. I mean "Don't Tell Em" HELLO. But yeah he has a beautiful voice so I pretty much feel that any song his voice graces is pretty great. I've also recently become crazily obsessed with J Cole. His albums are actually SO GOOD. It's old but Cole World: The Sideline Story is probably my favorite. Anyway, the main point here is these two together make magical music! This song is fire.
Favorite Lyric; "...but I will if I need to cause for real girl, I need you."

Thunder Clatter - Wild Club
I guess this will be my one non-R&B/rap song for today. Haha. I love this song though, it's just a fun, feel good song. For some reason it makes me think of summer. I can just see myself listening to it on the beach. iTunes apparently categorizes this song as Alternative - although I think I'd categorize it as a little more pop/alternative. I feel like it's definitely something catchy I would hear on the radio. If you're into pop/rock/alternative I definitely recommend this song, if you haven't heard it already!
Favorite Lyric; "Sad hopes I'd hidden under, tangled inside of me. You spoke like broken thunder, deep into the center of me."

I hope you enjoyed today's very R&B edition of Music Monday! I'll be back tomorrow with some of my current fav beauty products. Hope you have a great Monday night and delightful Tuesday! :)

Sunday Funday - Valentine's #OOTD & Super Mini Mall Haul

Hi lovies! I hope everyone had a great Valentine's weekend, whether it be with a significant other, friends, or family! Valentine's Day isn't just about people who are relationships - it's about celebrating love. I wasn't able to spend Valentine's Day with the person I'd really like to due to geographical restrictions, but I was more than happy to spend it with my friends, whom I love very much!

But first, let me tell ya'll about my Friday night. My friend Sara and I thought it would be a delightful idea to try out a healthy pasta recipe to pair with our wine and The Hills viewing. So I picked up the necessary ingredients after work and headed home to meet up with Sara and get our chef on. What we didn't realize was that the recipe was going to turn out AWFUL. Like I mean, it wasn't just bad, it was downright horrendous. I don't necessarily think we did anything wrong, I think the recipe just wasn't what we liked AT ALL. I mean, truthfully it smelled like feet so I'm not sure who exactly WOULD like this recipe, but different strokes for different folks I suppose. So we had to ditch that dish and eat egg rolls and baked much for being healthy. The wine was still great though, so that's the most important thing. And The kind of forget how completely ridiculous Lauren Conrad once was these days because now she has it all together, but back in 2006 homegirl was driving the struggle bus.

Saturday aka the day of love I did what I love the most in this world...went shopping! I'll detail my little festive #ootd here for you. I didn't have time to make it it's own post yesterday so it's just going to be sandwiched in my weekend recap.

Sweater - LC by Lauren Conrad
Jeans - Topshop
Boots - Ugg
Bag - Rebecca Minkoff
Watch - Marc by Marc Jacobs

And I've got a tiny little very mini haul for you as well!
I've been wanting some new sweats from Victoria's Secret for a bit but just never got around to getting any. I love having matching sets! So I picked up the cheapest pair I could find (which were still $75...) But I love them a lot! Rocking them as I blog actually.

And then obviously you know I had to get something in Sephora... I had a gift card from Christmas I had totally forgot about so I figured I might as well put it to good use! I knew that I wanted to get a palette but I just couldn't figure out what one I wanted to get! My friend actually suggested I get the Naked3 palette and me being the makeup junkie I am I was in no place to argue! It had the best colors of the 3 Naked pallets in my opinion and I'm so excited to finally own a Naked palette! I got a baby Glamglow as well, the ThirstyMud one, which I haven't yet tried and have been meaning to. And last but not least I got some mini versions of OCC Lip Tars. I've been hearing so many great things about OCC lately and I liked the light and dark pinks that came in this little mini set so I decided to give it a try. Maybe they'll pop up in a beauty Tuesday soon! :)

Saturday night I went out to dinner with a group of friends at where else, Stagehouse! We had a lovely dinner and even dessert, because hello it was Valentine's day! I got an amazing pre-dinner cocktail also - a watermelon cosmo. It tasted like a jolly rancher and only one of them got me a little tipsy. So while the drink might be a little dangerous for lightweights like myself, it was absolutely delicious. After dinner we were cliche and went to see Fifty Shades of Grey. I actually hadn't bought into the hype and never finished the first book. I found Anastasia's infatuation with Christian a little unorthodox, to say the least. The movie was pretty decent, I feel the acting and casting was done really well. And I'm certainly not going to say I don't enjoy viewing Jamie Dornan for over two hours... I also discovered I'm very immature as I had some sort of comment for just about every scene. Haha. I'm just a child at heart! However, I just don't love the story line that much. I think if Ana just got some more self-respect or was more sure of herself she'd either set Christian in his place, or realize she deserves to love someone that loves her the same. And also doesn't get pleasure out of putting her in pain. BUT that's just me. I am however very intrigued to know the reason why Christian Grey is the way he is.

So that's pretty much my weekend in a nutshell. Today I didn't really do much, it is VERY cold and VERY windy outside so I just bummed around the house pretty much. I have the day off of work tomorrow for Presidents' Day, so it'll be nice to have another day to relax and not have to be at the office. I hope everyone has a good Monday tomorrow and I'll be back to detail some of my favorite songs, I'm super excited as I have quite a few I'm really loving these days!

Beauty Tuesday - Valentine's Lush Haul!

There's a very strong possibility that you're extremely tired of me writing about Lush products, but that's pretty much what I'll be doing today. So, I'm sorry! I ordered some limited edition Valentine's stuff from Lush a couple of weeks ago because I had to get some toner water so I figured I'd save this little haul for the week of Valentine's day! Romantic, I knowww.

Not to mention I have a lot of fun editing little pictures like this. HA

Not everything in this haul is a limited edition Valentine product by the way, there's actually only like three, and I deeply regret not ordering the Kiss lip scrub, it looks SO cute. But, I've been trying to cut back on all the spending. Key word try...Anyway, onto my mini reviews!

Prince Charming Shower Gel
I was particularly drawn to this because it's made with marshmallow of some sort and I absolutely love marshmallow! The scent of this is pomegranate and vanilla, two of my favorites, so I knew I needed this in my life. I love to lather up with this shower gel when I want to relax (and also when I want to smell like fruit.) Definitely recommend this to all you fruity fragrance lovers!

Love Locket Bath Bomb
I actually can't review on this too much as I haven't had a chance to use it! But I decided to purchase this bath bomb because it breaks apart into three pieces so you can use it three times. (Smart shopping, ya know?) Also it is apparently filled with paper and red seaweed hearts, so that's pretty cute. Lush describes it as having vanilla, jasmine, and neroli essential oils. I mean, it definitely smells delicious! I'm very excited to finally give this a try.

The Kiss Lip Gloss
I love all of the lip products from Lush so I figured this was bound to be no different. It's a lip balm that also gives your lips a little bit of a sheer pink color with some gloss. It's great for those days when you don't feel like rocking an entire lip combo and messing with lip liner and sticks and all. It makes it look like you put more effort into your lips than you actually did. :)

Butterball Bath Bomb
I actually haven't used this bath bomb either so I can only comment on it's smell, which is vanilla and is so good that I momentarily contemplated taking a bite out of it. That good. I decided to order this vanilla bath bomb to mix with my vanilla bath bubbles from Sephora to create a very, well, vanilla-y bath. I'll be sure to report back how well it works out for me, I have no doubts it will be superb!

Therapy Massage Bar (and tin)
I have been wanting to try a massage bar for awhile, since I've recently been having random problems with my neck. I figured this would be good because they massage and give your skin moisture at the same time. It contains lavender oil, which is super soothing and helps you to relax. I most often like to use this before bed. Definitely a great product for people who need help relaxing in order to go to sleep. (Like me.)

Tea Tree Water Toner Water
I've been using the toner waters from Lush for awhile now - they're especially great in the summer to refresh your face. I usually use the Eau Roma water because it smells light and like roses. I decided to give the Tea Tree one a go this time because I've been dealing with the occasional breakout and I heard tea tree oil is very good to help with that. I've been using this water every morning for a couple weeks now and I definitely think it's helping to keep my face a little bit more clear. I'm not saying this is a sure fire way to get rid of acne - but if you have a few break outs here and there, this toner water might give you just the little bit of help you need.

I hope you enjoyed this Valentine edition Lush haul, and from here on out I'll try to mention Lush products sparingly! I'll be back later this week with my favorite #ootw. I have no idea what it will be yet...but rest assured I'll find something! Hope everyone has a productive rest of the week, enjoy! :)

Music Monday - From Sam Tsui to Omarion

Okay so I could barely pull myself away from YouTube to write this blog post because I just made the best recent discovery that is Sam Tsui (thanks Nicole!)...whom will be making an appearance on this week's edition of Music Monday. Anyway, hope everyone had as good a Monday as possible! Day one down of the work week!

Thinking Out Loud/I'm Not The Only One Mashup - Sam Tsui & Casey Breves
Okay, so Sam Tsui is a YouTube cover artist with the voice of an ACTUAL angel. Honestly...I don't remember the last time I was this floored by someone's vocals. They're flawless and I've been sitting here near tears watching him for the past hour. So that's pretty much where I'm at right now. My friend sent me a link to this cover and it was just all over from there. Both Sam Tsui and Casey Breve's have BEAUTIFUL voices and this cover mashup is possibly the best thing to happen to me in my life. (Of course anything involve Ed Sheeran is wondrous to me) Sorry for being so dramatic...
Favorite Lyric; "Maybe we found love right where we are."

Worth It - Fifth Harmony
I've been a fan of Fifth Harmony after they miraculously jumped ahead of the group Emblem 3 on the last season of X Factor we had here in the US. I love their cute little girl power vibe. They seem like sweet girls, they have fantastic fashion sense, and amazing voices - what more can one really want in a girl group?! This song actually features a little rap break with Kid Ink which gives this pop/r&b song a little kick. I love the beat of this one, makes me feel sassy. Let's not forget the lyrics are pretty empowering as well, give it to me I'm worth it!
Favorite Lyric; "I may talk a lot of stuff, guaranteed I can back it up."

Nobody Love - Tori Kelly
I'm pretty sure Tori just released this new single last night and it's fire. I wrote about Tori Kelly on here already but this song definitely warrants me mentioning her again. Her voice is pretty unparalleled. As I mentioned before she actually sounds the same in her recordings and she does in real life...and she belts out some pretty crazy notes in this song. This is a great pop song with a little bit of a r&b/old school undertone. It's been out for a day and I'm already let that speak for itself.
Favorite Lyric; "I should be more cynical and tell myself it's not okay, to feel this good when I'm with you."

Post To Be - Omarion, Chris Brown & Jhene Aiko
I've been obsessed with this song for a little while now. I don't know what it is lately, rap and r&b songs are just really my thing right now! I don't know about you guys but watching Love and Hip Hop Hollywood is one of my favorite past times and Omarion just so happens to star on that "reality" show, so I actually found it a little laughable when I fell in love with this song. But there's no denying Omarion is pretty much what r&b is all about it. Jhene Aiko is also pretty great, I love her light and effortless voice. Chris Brown is a great singer as well...but I can't really stand him otherwise. :)

Hope you enjoy all my music choices this week! I'm gonna make this ending short and sweet so I can catch The Foster's on ABC Family and then dive back into watching more Sam Tsui videos on YouTube...looks like it's going to shape up to be a great night for me! Ha.

Sunday Funday - Hoboken Hangovers & Makeup Organization

Heyyy everyone! Probably going to make this weekend recap a bit on the shorter side as I'm watching some red carpet coverage from the Grammy's. Don't you love seeing what everyone is wearing?! Love picking my personal best and worst dressed.

Anywayyy - let's get on with the recap!

Friday night I headed out to Hoboken to hang with a group of friends. It's always quite an adventure whenever we decide to go out up there. We all met up and hung at a friend's apartment for a little while before heading out on a trek to the bar. The snow/ice/subzero temperatures are what made it quite a trek, however we arrived relatively safe and sound.

These are in fact terrible quality pictures, but this is all I really had to work with. Shout out to my biddies doe.

There was a relatively awful cover band there, but they played some jams so we made the most of it. By the time we got there the kitchen at the bar was closed so my friend actually had a pizza delivered to the bar. It was pretty much the greatest thing that happened to us.

We took an Uber home and accidentally took a black car that was $ please be aware when you're drunk requesting Uber cars because that shit gets a little crazy. On the bright side he did stop to let us get Pringles from a gas station...which sort of softens the blow of the price tag. SORT OF, but not really.

Saturday I had a horrific hangover and didn't actually get out of bed until 2:30 in the afternoon. Which is pretty insane, but my only solution to hangovers is sleep. I can't function with the awful headache that is a hangover so sleep it is. The only notable thing I managed to do was get my nails done...and even that felt like a project to me. I did get a really cute pink for Valentine's Day though!

I stayed in and watched Gimme Shelter that night with my mom. I have to admit I was expecting a little more out of the movie...but it was very interesting to see Vanessa Hudgens tackle such a dark and troubled character. As fas as the acting goes I think she did a phenomenal job with that. Rosario Dawson was also really fantastic with her character as an abusive mother. I didn't love the story line and would have liked to get more of an actual ending out of it, but that's just how I feel. Overall, I think it was just okay.

Which leads me to today. Most of the day I read The Duff, which is a great book so far! It's actually difficult to put down. I'm intrigued to see how they do the movie though, because it looks like it might be quite a bit different than the book. I generally use Sundays as my clean up day. I did all my laundry and cleaned up my room and wanted to share with you my makeup organization. I just recently got a lipstick organizer and pallet organizer so my vanity looks nice and complete now.

Please do try to ignore my reflection in the mirror. Hahaha

Cute right?! And that's pretty much my weekend for ya! I'll be back tomorrow with some new fav tunes for ya. Maybe throw in a throwback for this week as well. Hope you have a great rest of Sunday night and a smooth transition into the hell that is Monday morning. :)

Surprise Saturday - Winter Night Out #OOTW

Hi there lovelies!

Going to keep this fashion post short and sweet as it's currently 6:30PM and I'm still nursing a hangover...yikes.

My #ootw is a going out option for the winter time. Flannels for the win! This is what I wore for a night out in Hoboken with some good friends.

Flannel - Kohl's
I believe this is the Mossimo brand. I have several flannels from Kohl's and they're great. Can't beat a good price and comfortability. I love to wear flannels with leather during the winter. You get to stay warm while still looking fashion forward.

Tank Top - H&M Paris
I bought this #Celfie tank top at an H&M while I was in Paris. It was in this underground mall thing that was pretty sweet. I'm not sure if they sell this exact tank here in the states, but I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to find. I love cheeky hashtag shirts, they add a little sass to an outfit.

(Faux) Leather Leggings - Forever 21
I believe I detailed these once before on here. These are just basic black faux leather leggings. I love that leather is so in style these days. Some leather can add a little edge to an outfit. Be bold with it!

Knee High Boots - Charlotte Russe
I'm not 100% sure that these boots are from Charlotte Russe, but I think they are. They're just black, flat, knee high boots. I'm sure this style can be found pretty much anywhere. I love knee high boots and I'm only 5 feet all, so don't think that if you're short you can't wear this style - you definitely can! I have a brown pair as well to go with my more warm toned outfits.

Hat - H&M
This is my absolute favorite beanie. It's gray with a kind of cable knit texture to it. I wear it almost any chance I get. I love to pair flannels with beanies, you definitely need all the extra warmth you can get in the winter!

Bag - Rebecca Minkoff
I just got this bag yesterday in the mail and I'm absolutely in love. I've been wanting a smaller crossbody bag as I usually use bigger tote-like bags. This particular style was from a Gilt sale - it's a light gray with gold studs. I love the quilted pattern of the bag and the studs make it just a little bit unique. Couldn't be more pleased with this purchase!

Hope you enjoyed my #ootw! I'll be back later tomorrow to detail my weekend for you. I have a sneaking suspicion that I'll be laying on this couch all evening... #thestruggleisreal. Have a great Saturday night folks!

Beauty Tuesday (...on a Wednesday) - Too Faced & Soap & Glory

Guys! I came down with a sinus infection that hit pretty hard yesterday so I had to take a minor break. :( BUT, I'm back today! Not in tip top shape by any means, but well enough to keep my eyes open for an hour to blog about my latest beauty purchases. (Binges shopping has gotten out of control...)
Apparently, I've recently lost my mind and think I'm made of money...but you only live once, am I right?

The first purchase I want to share with everyone is this AMAZING Too Faced Better Than Chocolate box I ordered. Just to give you an example of how insane I am; I was getting ready to go to sleep one night while mindlessly scrolling through Instagram and Too Faced posted about this fantastic deal on the Home Shopping Network...and I actually jumped out of my bed and got on my laptop to order it. Yep, that level of insanity. Anyway, this whole set was only $49...that's the regular price of the palette alone so I feel like I got a steal! I actually just got this hours ago when I got home from work so I don't have much of a review on anything, but I just HAD to share how gorgeous it is and how adorable the packaging was. I've been loving Too Faced for quite some time now and swear by my Snow Bunny bronzer so I have no doubts that this set will be just as great.

Second thing I want to mention tonight is a mini Sephora haul that I received today as well. I was in desperate need of body lotion so I figured I'd make it worth my while and ordered a couple extra things as well. (Obviously I'm a VIB Rouge so I get free shipping...again, I'm insane.)

Last time I was in Sephora I bought the little baby version of Soap & Glory's The Righteous Butter and I was nothing short of amazed by it. It's a nice thick butter with a pleasant clean scent - it's absolutely perfect for these winter months when your skin is screaming for moisture. I'm so glad to have the full size to use daily now! The next thing I ordered was Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Bright Dark Circle Minimizer. This was a total splurge but I recently used a free sample of this and truly saw an improvement in my under eye circles, so I decided to take the plunge and buy this. I've discovered that my dark circles are so bad lately that I'm not able to leave my house barefaced anymore, at the very least I need a BB cream otherwise I look like a walking, talking skull. HA. Lastly I ordered Soap & Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker XL plumping lip gloss on a complete whim. Back in the day I used to swear by Jessica Simpson's lipgloss plumper. (PLEASE tell me there's someone else out there that remembers these things?!) So I decided I'd give this one a try, I just put it on a few minutes ago and I see slight change, nothing too noticeable though. I think it would be a nice base under a dark colored lipstick though, just for that little extra ooomf.

And that's all folks! I'll be back later in the week at some point to detail an #ootw for you guys. I have no ideas yet so I hope something comes to me in the near future... Winter is so hard because I feel like all I do is wear sweaters! I'm trying to come up with something nice and original...wish me luck! Have a great rest of the week beauties!
